All Parties Conference demands equal citizenship rights for people of FATA
PESHAWAR: An All Parties Conference APC was held in Islamabad for raising the issues of people living in FATA. Representatives of nine major parties attended the APC. The representatives of all parties demanded the government to cancel the black law of Frontier Crimes Regulation FCR and make concrete policies for the betterment of tribal areas people. The political parties included PML (N), PPP, PTI, Jamaat e Islami JI, Awami National Party ANP, National Party, JUI (F), and Qaumi Watan Party QWP. APC also organized a big rally in support of tribal areas people. While addressing the rally, JI Ameer sirajul Haq said, tribal areas people are also Pakistani so equal rights should be given to them as available to other citizens. ANP leader Mian Iftikhar also spoke at the occasion and said FATA is part of KP and it should be merged in KP. PTI leader Asad Umar, in his address said that FATA is part of country just like other areas. All political parties are united for the protection of tribal Areas people rights. MNA from tribal areas, Shah Jee Gul, in his address, said that FATA people have united for their rights and they will struggle until the lawful rights given to them. He requested the people of Pakistan to raise voice for their cause.
