Petrol Bombs thrown at ruling BJP leader car and office in India

NEW DELHI- Petrol bomb was thrown on the car of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader early Wednesday morning in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The bomb was thrown on one Mahindra XUV500 owned by BJP district secretary of Coimbatore.

The incident was caught on CCTV camera. The CCTV footage shows the petrol bomb hitting the parked SUV, following which flames could be seen on the roof of the vehicle.

Earlier in March, some unidentified miscreants had petrol bombs at BJP office in Coimbatore. According to police, two petrol bombs were thrown at the BJP office on VKK Menon road.

The BJP office in Coimbatore is on the first floor of a two-storeyed building. The cops had scanned the CCTV footage incident to get leads in the incident. It came shortly after a statue of Dravidian ideologue Periyar was vandalised in Tamil Nadu’s Tirupattur.
