Kashmiri detainees in Indian jails subjected to worst torture

SRINAGAR - In occupied Kashmir, Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has expressed deep concern over the plight of Kashmiri detainees languishing in different jails in and outside occupied valley.
In a statement in Srinagar, he said the Kashmiri political detainees are being harassed, intimidated and subjected to political vendetta on one pretext or the other.
Syed Ali Gilani said the detainees are ill-treated and humiliated for their affiliation with the freedom movement.
Meanwhile, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement also expressed serious concern over the unabated human rights violations including harassment and detention of youth and the frequent search operations in every nook and corner of the territory.
Hurriyat forum urged the world human rights bodies to take strong notice of these human rights violations committed by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.
