KARACHI – Former leader of Muttahida Qauomi Movement (MQM) Irum Azeem Farooque levelled allegations of harassment against ex-party fellows.
In a video statement, Farooque, who had joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf last year, slammed Amir Khan and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for their offensive behaviours. She said that Khan used to stare at her when she went to attend the meetings of the party.
The estranged leader of MQM said that she had complained about the irritating behavior of Khan to Haider Abbasi Rizvi.
Talking about Siddiqui, Farooque said that he had sent marriage proposals to her home in the US.
There was a time when workers were given respect in the party, she said. Farooque said she did not know Khan when he again joined the party.
She said that people of Buhaddarabad faction were all goons, adding that the MQM-P would be banned due to some persons. He said that PIB and Buhadarabad cannot join hands.
After the video surfaced, MQM-P leader Siddiqui took to Twitter for response where he traded barbs with Farooque.
Siddiqui termed the allegation as fabricated, adding that Farooq Sattar will not be given authority to support nepotism and beauty.
