We will turn back home after fully recovered: Ex. President Pervaiz Musharaf

DUBAI: Pakistan’s ex. President Pervaiz Musharaf claimed that he is not afraid of cases against him and will turn back home once fully recovered.

He said “I have been born to serve the country. I don’t want to spend even a single day away from my motherland after my recovery. Good health is essential for doing work and treatment is essential for good health.”

Musharaf is facing treason trial since 2012 and was included in country’s Exit Control List in 2014.

People hold protests against the departure of ex. President and claimed that he left after striking a deal with government.

Government authorities claimed that Musharaf has left for medical treatment at the orders of Supreme Court.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said “Musharaf has been allowed to travel abroad for his medical treatment. His lawyers have committed before the apex court that he will return after four to six weeks.”
