WASHINGTON: Internet Advertising to take over TV Ads by 2017

WASHINGTON: France based forecaster Zenith Optimedia claimed that internet advertising will take over TV ads by 2017 as businesses around the world have been set to spend more on internet advertising as compared to TV.

Zenith claimed that the advertising will grew three times in 2016.

It said “The global economy faces clear challenges, but advertiser’s confidence has remained largely unshaken, and our forecasters for global growth in 2016 have barely changed since we published our last forecasters in December.”

Zenith claimed that the industry will be boosted by advertising the Rio Olympics, European soccer championship and the US Presidential election in 2016.

It claimed that 4.6 percent growth is expected in global advertising this year from a forecast of 4.7 percent it gave in December.

That is still ahead of 3.9 percent growth in 2015.
