PM Nawaz Sharif approves Strategic Trade Policy Framework

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved the Strategic Trade Policy Framework 2015-18 to increase the country’s exports.
According to the Press Release issued by PM House the aim of the policy is to take concrete measures to increase country's exports. Under the Trade Policy Framework, PM Nawaz has also formed a committee led by Federal Minister for Trade Khurram Dastgeer to review the implementation on Policy Framework.
The Monitoring Committee will not only remove the hurdles in the implementation of policy framework but also review the affairs regarding trade progress and annual implementation report, presenting to cabinet.
Rs. 6 billion budget has been approved by government to implement Trade Policy in fiscal year 2015-16.
It is also worthy to mention here that Trade Policy Framework has been formed by government with the consultation of District Chambers, Traders Organizations, Businessmen, Education experts, Think tanks, Ministries, Divisions, other private and official sectors.
