Petroleum products likely to increase in upcoming month

ISLAMABAD: Petroleum products are likely to be increased by Rs. 3 per litter in next month due to rise in crude oil prices in Arab markets. OGRA will send summary to finance ministry suggesting Rs. 3 per litter increase in Petrol.
According to the sources of Finance Ministry, the price of Arab Crude Oil is consistently increasing and if the same situation remained then government will have to increase the prices of petroleum products by 5%.
Sources claimed that the prices of high speed diesel will be increased by Rs. 2.27/litter while the price of light diesel will face Rs. 2.98 increase. The price of petrol is expected to increase by Rs. 2.10 while the price of high octane will face Rs. 3.48 increase.
Official sources claimed that government could maintain the prices of petroleum products to give relief to people but government will have to reduce GST on these products.
