Iranian Ambassador calls on PM Nawaz discussing trade ties

ISLAMABAD: Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Honardoost called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in PM House here at Monday. Matters related to mutual interest were discussed in the meeting.

 

Speaking at the occasion, PM Nawaz said that Pakistan valued its ties with Iran and considered it as a close friend and neighbour. While expressing his please over lifting sanctions against Iran PM said that trade and economic activities will boost between both countries after the removal of sanctions against Iran.

 

He further added that we are awaiting for the visit of Iranian President to Pakistan because President Rohani visit will provide an opportunity to further strengthen the bilateral ties.

 

Government is focusing on the revival of economy as well as to end the energy crisis while economic stability and progress of Pakistan is link with regional stability. PM stated.

 

Thanking to PM Nawaz for his warm welcome Iranian envoy said that both countries need to further enhance its bilateral ties in terms of trade because the current trade ties do not reflect the strong relations of both countries.

 

Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to PM Nawaz on foreign affairs and other government officials were also present in the meeting.
