Suicide jacket recovered along with detonators

NAWABSHAH: (APP) Nawabshah Police have recovered a suicide jacket from a van and arrested the driver Tuesday morning.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police Sakrand Anwar Durrani said that on information the suicide jacket having five pockets with blasting devices in each pocket was recovered from the van No. JF-6774 that was parked at a petrol pump on Sanghar Road. The driver of the van was identified as Ashraf Jatt.
He said that the weight of jacket was around three kilogram that was attached with batteries.
The devices were later defused by the bomb disposal squad.
The drive of the van showed his ignorance about the jacket and said that some passenger might have kept his luggage and left, which was later recovered by police.
The DSP Durrani said that the van had come from Hub and was parked at the petrol pump.
Further investigation was in progress.
