Fakhar Zaman fulfills wish of 'fortune-teller' Ramiz Raja

KARACHI: Smashing a double-century in ODIs, stunning Fakhar Zaman seems to have  fulfilled a wish of Pakistan's former captain Ramiz Raja, who Monday posed a question on Twitter asking "why isn't a Pakistan batsman looking for a 200!!".

Soon after Pakistan's huge win against Zimbabwe in the second one-day international, former captain Ramiz Raja took to Twitter to express his desire for his county player to look for double-century in ODIs asking "why isn't a Pakistan batsman looking for a 200!!".

Days after his query, Ramiz Raja on Thursday  got answer from Fakhar Zamn as  he made 210* runs in the fourth ODI against Zimbabwe  to become the first Pakistani player to score a double-century in ODIs and the sixth overall.

Ramiz Raja quickly responded to him with a latest tweet, saying; "Now we are talking!! Salute and standing ovation."

Social media is flooded  with commendations for  the stunning knock from a young Pakistani batsman. One of  the Twitter users went on to  call him a a " true fortune teller".

Left-handed opener will become the first player to reach 1000 runs in 20 innings if he made 20 runs more in three innings as he has scored 980 runs from just 17 innings in ODIs at the average of 75.38. Five players have so far reached 1000 runs in ODIs from 21 innings.

Pakistan on Friday outplayed Zimbabwe by a margin of 244 runs in the fourth One-day International to secure the second biggest win in ODIs, behind the 255-run win over Ireland in 2015.
