Shah demands Imran’s apology on Sahiwal firing incident

SUKKUR: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khursheed Shah demanded of Prime Minister Imran Khan to apologize to the nation over the Sahiwal firing incident.

Talking to media in Sukkur, the PPP leader expressed disappointment over comments of a few legislators, saying that he felt sorrow over statements of some federal and provincial minister.

He demanded Prime Minister to summon resignations of the ministers calling the slain persons as terrorists in Sahiwal incident.

Shah said those responsible should be brought to justice for countering such incidents in future.

“The Sahiwal incident shows the government’s lethargy to provide justice. To dub those killed in the incident as terrorists is purely erroneous.”

He said the country’s judicial system was strong as big decisions were being handed by courts. He hoped and said Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa would improve the judicial system further.

Responding a question, Shah said: “PTI government could not complete his five-year government term.”
