Sahiwal incident is slap on PTI’s government face: Bilawal

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly condemned the firing incident in Sahiwal and termed it a slap in the face of PTI’s government.

Expressing deep grief and sorrow over the incident, Bilawal Zardari lashed out the government and said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had turned Punjab into a police state.

Sahiwal firing incident is a message that citizens should not go out of their houses with their children in Naya Pakistan, he said in a statement.

He further said the incident indicates the performance of PTI good governance “The people who transferred SSPs and IGPs won’t be able to provide justice for innocent people”.

Government’s announcement to probe of the incident by JIT was just tall claims as well as making news headlines, “Jungle law has been imposed in the country in the name of Naya Pakistan.”

He also said that the government seemed powerless in taking steps against Sahiwal incident.

Earlier on Saturday, four persons were shot dead including two women during an alleged action by CTD of Punjab Police that went controversial when a wounded child gave statement before the media, saying they were moving to Burewala for attending a wedding ceremony.
