United Nations, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed concern over escalating violence in Syria's Eastern Ghouta enclave after the killing of more than 100 civilians in the air strikes.
UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric in a statement in Newyork said the Secretary General has urged all sides to uphold the basic principles of humanitarian law, including the protection of civilians.
He said the Eastern Ghouta has been designated as a de-escalation zone by Russia, Iran and Turkey and reminded all parties to honour their commitments in this regard.APP/AFP
