Syrian Forces - Turkish Army Faceoff in Syria

ANKARA - Turkey warned today that pro-Syrian government forces entering the northwest Afrin region to support a Kurdish militia will face serious consequences and they will be targeted.
A spokesman of Turkish President said although Ankara is not in direct talks with Damascus yet messages being conveyed.
The spokesman said that a convoy of some 50 vehicles carrying pro-government forces tried to enter Afrin in Syria yesterday but retreated after artillery fire by Turkish forces.
