PM inaugurates Hyundai Nishat vehicle assembly plant in Faisalabad
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has categorically stated the PML-N government will complete its term and general election will be held on July 15 next year.
He was addressing the ground-breaking ceremony of Hyundai car plant in Faisalabad today.
The car assembly plant is a joint venture of Nishat Mills Limited and Hyundai Motor Corporation of South Korea.
The joint venture will produce Hyundai passenger cars and 1-ton range commercial vehicles in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said the establishment of the car plant by Hyundai showed the trust of investors in Pakistan as well as the government’s sustained policies, which has created conducive environment for investors.
He said this investment is also a manifestation of the fact that the government’s business-friendly policies have started bringing positive results.
The Prime Minister highlighted the PML-N government’s achievements over the last few years particularly in the area of energy and said a number of electricity generation projects have been installed, which addressed the issue of electricity shortage.
He referred to construction of roads, highways and motorways across the country as well as the establishment of gas terminals during the last over four and a half years and said, the present government did not just utter words but delivered.
Addressing the members of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prime Minister said that the government will provide facilities to private sector in the shape of state of the art industrial estates and motorways.
He said that government is making efforts to introduce a tax friendly culture in the FBR in addition to making tax procedures simple and easy.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the Government is also focusing on the development of SME sector.
