Over 100 teachers held for staging demo in Karachi

KARACHI: The police arrested over 100 male and female teachers who staged a demonstration to press for the regularization of their jobs on Wednesday.
The police and protesting teachers also scuffled with each other.
The protesters said that they were protesting peacefully for their right and the police action was uncalled for.
They said that they were employed after passing the NTS.
“The government had promised to regularize our jobs, but the promise could not be fulfilled,” he added.
