Suspected Pakistani behind deadly truck rampage at Christmas Market: Berlin Police Chief

BERLIN: Berlin’s police chief voiced doubt Tuesday that a detained Pakistani man was behind a deadly truck rampage through crowds at a Christmas market, which would mean the perpetrator remains at large.
“It is indeed uncertain he was the driver,” Klaus Kandt told a press conference. “The initial evidence has been limited”, he said, while police tweeted that “we remain especially vigilant”.
The suspect also denied involvement in the attack, Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said Tuesday.
