First phase of player’s selection for various PSL teams starts today

KARACHI: The players will be selected today for the various Pakistan Super League’s teams. Franchise icon, platinum, Diamond and gold will take part in process of draft to get the services of players. As per details, T 20 Captain Shahid Afridi will be the first priority of Islamabad. The process of draft is being started today at national cricket academy. After the induction of Abdul Razzaq, the numbers of players has increased to 300. They were divided in five categories. Omer Akmal and Ahmad Shahzad have been promoted from Diamond to Platinum category because administration considered that both players deserved it. According to formula, icons players including Afridi, Shoiab Malik, Criss Gale and Sheen Watson will be sold at $ 2 lakhs.
