33rd death anniversary of National Anthem author Hafeez Jalhandhri being observed today

ISLAMABAD: The 33rd death anniversary of author of National Anthem of Pakistan Hafeez Jalhandhri is being observed today with full respect throughout country. As per details, he was born in Jhalandar, city of India in January 14, 1900. He shifted to Pakistan after partition and started to write poetry and national anthem. Numerous singers got prominence by singing his written anthems while he got prominence by the national anthem of Pakistan. Ceremonies are being held by PML-N and other parties to pay tribute to his national and literary services. Fathea Khwani and Quran khwani are being offered for the deceased’s soul. He died in Lahore on December 21, 1982 at the age 82 years and was buried near Minar e Pakistan.
