CTD arrests ISIS linked terrorists from Punjab along with huge cache of arms

LAHORE - In a big breakthrough, Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested two terrorists in an intelligence-based operation.

A huge cache of explosives and weapons, including hand grenades were also recovered from the suspects.

Reportedly the terrorists were linked to the militant Islamic State (IS) group.

According to a local media report link, they also recovered money from them that was being used for terror financing. It was reported that IS terrorists possessing arms and explosives were present at Stadium Morr on Vehari Road, Multan and planning to target vital installations.

After receiving information, CTD personnel launched an operation involving intelligence teams and arrested the suspected terrorists.

A case was registered at the CTD police station in Multan.
