Captain (R) Safdar's condition suddenly deteriorate in Adiala Jail

RAWALPINDI – Captain (r) Safdar condition has deteriorated suddenly in Adiala Jail on Monday.

He may be shifted to PIMS hospital upon advice of medical board.

Capt (r) Safdar was given medical treatment in the jail hospital, however, the decision to shift him to hospital has not yet been taken.

On August 10, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law Capt (r) Safdar had been shifted to PIMS Hospital as his health deteriorated in Adiala Jail.

Stern security arrangements had been placed in and around premises of PIMS hospital to avoid any untoward situation. A three-member team examined Safdar following which his room was declared as sub-jail.

Safdar was suffering from stomach ulcers and doctors have performed two operations on his stomach.

Nawaz, Maryam and Safdar have been handed over 11-year jail sentence, 7-year jail sentence and 1-year jail respectively by an accountability court in Avenfield reference. The hearing of two others references is underway.
