Election Bill 2017: An opportunity to strengthen democracy in Pakistan

Election Bill 2017 was moved in the National Assembly on Monday.
The Bill moved by Law Minister Zahid Hamid provides to amend, consolidate and unify laws relating to the conduct of elections.
Concluding the discussion, the Minister said that the suitable proposals from the members will be incorporated in the final Bill.
He said that the Bill will help in holding free, fair and transparent elections. He said the main objective of the bill is to strengthen the role of the Election Commission.
The House will now meet tomorrow at 10:00 in the morning.
