Prices of Petroleum Products likely to rise in May

ISLAMABAD: Prices of Petroleum Products are likely to rise in May as price of petrol and diesel is being expected to increase by Rs. 2.67 and Rs. 3 per liter respectively.
As per sources, the prices of Arab crude oil have reduced by 2 dollar per barrel however, prices of petrol and high speed diesel are being expected to rise by Rs. 2.67 and Rs. 3 per liter due to additional General Sales Tax (GST) and custom duty in Pakistan.
Sources further added that prices of high octane, kerosene oil and light diesel are also being expected to maintain at the same rate.
Prices of petrol and high speed diesel can be maintained at the same position by government, reducing slightly GST.
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) would send summary to petroleum ministry to increase petroleum products on April 28.
