KP Governor presides high-level meeting in FC Headquarters

PESHAWAR: (APP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra Thursday appreciating the courageous role of Pak Army, Frontier Corps and security forces in war against terrorism and said that the whole nation stands with security forces in its efforts to eradicate the menace.
He expressed these views while chairing a high level meeting during his visit to Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters Fort Balahisar. He said that those officers and jawans who laid down their lives for protection of motherland were in fact real heroes and whole nation held their sacrifices in high esteem.
On the occasion, visiting governor was briefed by Inspector General FC Major General Mazhar Shaheen Mahmood regarding security situation in the region.
Addressing the meeting, KP Governor said peace has been restored in the country owing to sacrifices rendered by security forces adding role of security forces in bringing peace and stability to the region was significant and highly commendable.
He lauded sacrifices rendered by FC in war on terror and said that sacrifices of martyred for motherland would not go in vain and be remembered always.
Governor also visited Yadgar-e- Shuhada , laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha.
