BEIJING: China and Afghanistan vowed to enhance Defence and Military ties including counter-terrorism intelligence cooperation and joint drills.
Central Military Commission official Fang Fenghui hold talks with Afghan President’s national security advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar to develop relations.
Fang claimed that China wants to enhance cooperation in counter-terrorism intelligence, joint drills, personnel training and other areas for regional peace, stability and development.
The announcement was made at the time when Taliban refused for peace talks and announced to launch spring offensive.
Taliban killed at least 64 people in a deadliest suicide attack in a government building days before.
Earlier, China, Pakistan and US tried to hold talks with Taliban to end the 15 years war but Taliban refused to join until the complete withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.
