Rape attempt on lady doctor in a government hospital: Media report

RAHIM YAR KHAN – A sweeper of a private sanitation company has been arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a woman medical officer at the Shaikh Zayed Medical College and Hospital (SZMC&H).
The victim lady doctor was alone in a room of the emergency ward when the suspect tried to overpower her with bad intentions but he was held by the security guards when the medical officer cried for help. Later, the accused was handed over to police for further investigation.
As the incident occurred, members of Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) left the working and gathered outside the principal office, raising slogans against the hospital administration.
However, the doctors called off the protest after Principal Prof Dr Mubarak Ali Chaudhry assured him to resolve the issues.
