PM Imran Khan - UAE crown prince meeting: Foreign office reveals the details

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have discussed joint cooperation in various fields of mutual interest and vowed to work closely for benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

According to a Foreign Office statement, Prime Minister also deliberated on issues of regional and international dimensions with Emirati leadership, notably the fight against the spread of extremism and terrorism in the region and world by sustainable strategies to root out terrorism.

Prime Minister Imran Khan elaborated upon his vision of a peaceful neighbourhood and his government's efforts to assist Afghanistan for peace and stability in the country.

The Prime Minister also briefed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed on his desire for peace and stability in the region and especially for dialogue with India for the settlement of all disputes, especially the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.

The two sides also discussed strengthening economic cooperation and increasing bilateral investments.

Taking note of the contributions made by Pakistani professionals as well as skilled and unskilled labour, the two sides acknowledged that they have been an important component of the UAE's success story.
