Pakistan Hockey faces an embarrassing blow

LAHORE – The Pakistan Hockey faces a big blow as the poor planning has resulted in cancellation of international tournament in Pakistan.

Pakistan Hockey Open Series scheduled for September 26-30 in Lahore has been postponed.

Owing to faulty planning, the Pakistan Hockey Federation could not attract Bangladesh and Afghanistan to the event.

The PHF had invited Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Oman and Qatar, but the latter three refused to participate in the event.

Meanwhile, Minister for Inter-Provincial Harmony Fehmida Mirza took notice of the matter and said that no one will be allowed to play politics in the federation.
