India faces setback ahead of Super Four round of Asia Cup 2018

*DUBAI - India faces setback ahead of the Super Four round of the Asia Cup 2018.*

*India’s Hardik Pandya, Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel have been ruled out Asia Cup 2018 due to injuries, the ICC has reported.*

All-rounder Pandya was stretchered out of the match against Pakistan on Wednesday. The team management confirmed that he has suffered a back injury. He is being replaced by Deepak Chahar in the squad.

Spinner Patel has suffered a tendon tear and will be replaced by Ravindra Jadeja.

Medium-pacer Thakur is ruled out of the tournament due to a hip injury. Siddharth Kaul will be his replacement on the side.

India finished on top in Pool A in the Asia Cup after beating Hong Kong and arch rivals Pakistan.
