Data Ganj Bakhsh Shrine "Ghusal" ceremony performed

LAHORE – The 975th ceremony to perform the ‘ghusal’ of the shrine of Hazrat Ali Bin Usman Al-Hajveri, popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, was held on Thursday.
The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali recited verses from the Holy Quran.
Renowned ‘na’atkhawan’ Marghoob Ahmed Hamdani recited a ‘na’at and enthralled the participants.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment Mian Aslam Iqbal, Punjab Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Saeedul Hassan Shah, MPA Nazir Chohan and DG Religious Affairs Dr Tahir Raza Bukhari performed the ghusal with rose water. They offered Fateha after laying a floral ‘chadar’.
They also prayed for progress and stability of the country.
