ISLAMABAD (APP): Rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places of upper region of the country while hot and dry weather to prevail in other areas during the next 24 hours.
Rainfall is forecast in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas. A shallow westerly wave is still affecting Kashmir and its adjoining areas, an official of met office told APP.
In last 24 hours weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Monday Sukkur 44øC, Shaheed Benazirabad, Rohri, R.Y Khan, Padidan, Dadu and Moenjodaro 43øC, Multan and Hyderabad 40øC, Faisalabad 38øC, Peshawar and Lahore 37øC, Islamabad 36øC, Quetta, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad and Chitral 35øC, Karachi and Dir 34øC, Kalat 32øC, Hunza 31øC, Skardu 30øC, and Murree 24øC.
