Khawar Farid Maneka, the former spouse of Bushra Bibi, shared revealing insights about the breakdown of their 28-year family life, leading to divorce, as he exposed the clandestine meetings between former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra under the guise of Peri-Mureedi.
In an interview with Geo News, Maneka disclosed that Imran Khan would visit their home without his consent, attributing the disruption of their family life to these secret Peri Muridi encounters. Expressing his displeasure, Maneka recounted an incident where he escorted Imran Khan out of their home with the assistance of a servant after discovering Pinky’s (Bushra Bibi) undisclosed meetings.
Maneka highlighted the role of Bushra’s sister, Maryam Watto, in facilitating meetings between Bushra and Imran Khan during the latter's sit-ins in Islamabad. Despite 28 years of marital bliss, he lamented that Imran, under the guise of Peri Muridi, brought destruction to their home.
According to Maneka, the secret conversations between Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi began in Islamabad, defying warnings from his mother about Imran Khan's suitability. He revealed that Farah Gogi provided them with a secret phone number, enabling their clandestine communication.
Despite having his own house in Bani Gala, Maneka disclosed that Bushra used to visit Imran Khan’s house without informing him. Six months prior to their divorce, Bushra separated from him and moved to her house in Pakpattan. Despite his efforts to reconcile, she refused, and he eventually received a message from Farah Gogi, conveying Pinky's request for a divorce.
Maneka confronted Bushra, who remained silent, and he sent the divorce certificate through Farah Gogi on November 14, 2017. Later, Farah Gogi requested a change in the divorce date, citing Imran Khan's imminent prime ministership. Maneka revealed that he divorced Bushra on November 14, 2017, and only discovered her marriage to Imran Khan a month and a half later when it was reported in the media, leaving him and his children unaware of the union.
