Pakistan's unparallel sacrifices in war on terror can’t be brushed aside with meaningless tirade: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan has reminded the United States that sacrifices made by Pakistan in war on terror are unparallel and cannot be brushed aside with a meaningless tirade.

Setting the record straight of the US President, Donald Trump in a tweet message today, the Prime Minister made it clear that no Pakistani was involved in September 11, 2001 attacks on the US soil, but still Pakistan decided to participate in war on terror.

He said Pakistan suffered 75,000 casualties in this war and suffered a loss of over 123 billion dollars to its economy.

The Prime Minister said the US-aid is a minuscule 20 billion dollars in comparison with these losses.

Imran Khan further said our tribal areas were devastated and millions of people uprooted from their homes due to this war, which also drastically impacted lives of ordinary Pakistanis.

He said Pakistan continues to provide free lines of ground and air communications to the US. He asked President Trump to name another ally that gave such sacrifices.

The Prime Minister added that instead of making Pakistan a scapegoat for its failures, the United States should do a serious assessment of why the Taliban today are stronger than before, despite presence of 140,000 NATO and 250,000 Afghan troops and spending approximately one trillion dollars on the war in Afghanistan.

The Prime Minster said Trump needs to be informed about the historical facts.

He said Pakistan has suffered enough fighting US's war and now we will do what is best for our people and our interests.
