Arab League condemns attempted missile attack on Riyadh

Arab League has strongly condemned the attempted missile attack on Riyadh by Yemen's Houthi rebels in October.

In a resolution at the extraordinary meeting in Cairo, the League called the missile attack as a blatant aggression against Saudi Arabia and a threat to Arab national security.

The League ministers affirmed Saudi Arabia's right to defend its territory and said they would support all legitimate procedures Riyadh might take against such violations.

Addressing the meeting, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir warned that Riyadh will not hesitate to defend its national security.

The Arab League ministerial meeting was called by Saudi Arabia after a missile was intercepted near Riyadh on November 4 claimed by Yemen's Houthi rebels.
