PESHAWAR: (APP) Frontier Constabulary passing out Parade held

 

An impressive annual passing out parade of 560 recruits of Frontier Constabulary (FC) was held at FC Training Centre Hayataabad here on Tuesday.

 

Commandant Frontier Constabulary, Liaquat Ali Khan who was the chief guest on the occasion inspected the parade of 560 recruits who passed out upon successful completion of their professional training.

 

The smartly turned out contingent passed through the stage and presented salute to the Commandant amid warm applause by the officials, audience and relatives who come in large number to FC training centre to witness the parade.

 

In his address, the Commandant FC Liaquat Ali Khan said FC was one of key force of the country that has played significant role for defense of motherland and always fulfilled expectations of nation. In addition to duties on bordering areas, FC has the distinction of providing foolproof security to Government installations, buildings, institutions, VIPs and political personalities for which the whole nation was proud of it.

 

The extensive professional training has immensely helped FC troops in  protection of country's geographical borders besides maintaining law and order situation and peace in the country, he said, adding the role of FC during time of peace and war was nationally viz a viz globally recognized.

 

He expressed the hope that passed recruits would follow the footprints of their martyrs and Ghazis as the nation has high expectations from them.

 

The sacrifice of FC martyrs for establishment of peace and law and order would be remembered in golden words, he said.

 

Later, talking to reporters, the commandant said FC recruits joined the force at the age of 18 and retired upon reaching 35 that was a very limited service.

 

However, he said efforts would be made for extension in service of FC troops. He said 360 FC jawans were martyred and 530 injured in fight against terrorism and held their sacrifices in high esteem.

 

To another question, he said FC jawans are also performing their professional duties in Balochistan and other provinces.

 

Later, the Commandant FC distributed prizes and certificates among the recruits for exhibiting best performance during training. He also announced a grant of Rs200,000 for installation of CCTV cameras in FC training centre Hayatabad.
