LAHORE: A Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench would hear the bail petition of former senior provincial minister Abdul Aleem Khan in the offshore companies and assets case on Wednesday (Mar 20).
The division bench comprising Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan and Justice Mirza Viqas Rauf would hear the bail petition.
Abdul Aleem Khan had filed the petition through his counsel Barrister Syed Ali Zafar, submitting that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested him in connection with an assets case, despite the fact that he extended complete cooperation to NAB authorities in investigations.
He contended that all charges levelled against him were baseless and the bureau did not have any evidence against him.
He contended that the case was fabricated and pleaded with the court to grant him benefit of bail, as investigations had been completed in the case and no more confinement was required.
