US President Donald Trump’s ratings fall drastically

Americans seem disappointed by US President Donald Trump’s promises to create jobs, as his job approval rating have tanked to 37%, according to Gallup figures.

According to the statistics, 58% of Americans disapprove of his performance so far as president.

Trump’s low ranking comes amid criticism from the American public on the proposed Affordable Care Act replacement bill. A Quinnipiac University poll early this month showed that a majority of Americans disapprove of the new health care bill, which aims to repeal Obamacare.

The president also drew scathing criticism from all quarters when he claimed that former president Barack Obama wire-tapped him. The FBI director is to testify in the Congress on the wiretapping claim—expected against the claim—as well as on the contentious issue of Trump administration’s Russia ties.

He has also been criticised for his “Muslim travel ban”, the confusion that ensued on airports and the entire country after the issuance of the first travel ban, and spike in the general anti-Muslim bigotry.

This is the lowest approval rating any president’s first 60 days tracked by Gallup, according to Business Insider.
