KPK Police foils bid to smuggle huge cache of arms and ammunitions



PESHAWAR: Peshawar Police conducted raid on a godown in Mullah Gori, area of Peshawar and recovered huge cache of illegal arms and ammunitions.

 

While addressing a press conference here at Faqeerabad Police Station, ASP Muhammad Waseem said raid was conducted on a godown on the tip-off intelligence and the team recovered huge cache of arms.

 

ASP Muhammad Waseem revealed that smugglers wanted to smuggle illegal weapons to Punjab but KPK Police foiled their bid to smuggle these arms and ammunitions to Punjab.

 

The weapons were to be used for terrorist’s acts in Punjab. 28 pistols, 11 rifles and over 5 thousand bullets were recovered while an accused has also been arrested by Police in this raid. ASP added.

 

Muhammad Waseem further stated that operation is in process against those having illegal weapons and ammunitions.
