US assisting Pakistan to prevent infectious disease outbreak

ISLAMABAD - The United States is assisting Pakistan to prevent infectious disease outbreaks in the country.
In this regard, a five-day workshop titled "Pakistan National One Health Framework and Strategic Plan Development" culminated in Islamabad today, focusing on zoonotic diseases of national and international significance.
Experts from the two US organizations discussed strategies to control these diseases during the workshop.
Pakistan recently established a One Health Hub at National Institute of Health Islamabad which will support collaboration and coordination between the human, animal, and environment health sectors on infectious zoonotic diseases.
