ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s legendary fast bowler and former head coach Waqar Younis has pledged to support Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s motto to build ‘Naya Pakistan’ and to bring a positive change in the country.
Sending warm wishes to Khan for the upcoming general elections, the former Pakistan skipper captain tweeted, “Enough is enough. Time to bring Change Pakistan. All the best in the upcoming elections Skipper [Khan], we are all behind you”.
PTI chairman has been a popular figure, mainly among many celebrities, throughout his journey. Even before stepping into the world of politics in 1996, he was a crowd-pleaser.
Celebrities such as Amir Liaquat, Salman Ahmad, Abrar-ul-Haq and Hamza Ali Abbasi are already active members of PTI . However, the current election fever has driven many other celebs such as Mawra Hocane, Maya Ali, Farhan Saeed and Urwa Hocane, to lend their support to PTI chief, Khan.
