Kashmiris in IOK overwhelmed with Pakistan support

ISLAMABAD (APP): The journalist’s community in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) Monday appreciated the effective Kashmir policy of the present Government of Pakistan and the moral and diplomatic support extended to their cause of self-determination and freedom from foreign forces.

They conveyed the gratitude on behalf of Kashmiri people in the IOK for Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for his intense international diplomatic efforts to highlight the lingering issue.

Bilal Bashir Bhat, a senior journalist of the 'Only Kashmir Desk' in IOK, talking to APP said all Kashmiris were thankful to Prime Minister Sharif for a decision to observe 'Black Day' on July 20 to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people, groaning under the gross inhuman atrocities committed by the Indian forces.

Narrating the ordeals being faced by the people in IOK after massive deployment of the Indian occupational forces, he lamented that there was a complete lockdown in the occupied valley. "The communication means are shut down, besides a strict ban on the movement of people. There is acute shortage of daily commodities of lives," Bilal said.

He said such oppressive policies by the Indian government could not deter the strong determination of the Kashmiri people to secure their freedom at all costs. Scores of innocent people had been brutally killed by the Indian forces.

He stressed for a peaceful resolution of the issue through meaningful dialogue in line with the wishes of the Kashmiri people and the UN resolutions.
