Shahbaz Sharif congratulates Progressive panel over winning Lahore Press Club elections

LAHORE: Lahore Press Club Election were conducted on Sunday in Lahore in which progressive panel won the LPC election 2016. Journalists from across the city casted their votes.
As per details, Muhammad Shahbaz Mian was elected as President of the press club for year 2016. He got 981 votes in Lahore Press Club election while his opponent candidate Arshad Ansari, who was former president got 834 votes in election.
Abdul Majeed and Shadab Riaz of the same group were elected on the seats of vice president and secretary general respectively while Zaheer Ahmad Babar succeeded to win seat of finance secretary.
Progressive panel also succeeded to win eight seats for members of governing body. While talking to media newly-elected president Shabaz Mian thanked to Allah Almighty and vowed to work with full devotion for the betterment of journalist community.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated to newly-elected body of Lahore Press Club and expressed his hope that they will play their role for the prosperity of journalists.
