ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s legal team Tuesday filed another miscellaneous application in Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking permission to submit more supporting documents in his bail case.
The petitioner, in his application, said Superintendent of Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore has submitted a total of nine documents including the report of medical board. He, however, claimed that some important documents are not included in it.
The application read that Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) has given recommendation for the treatment after medial analysis of former prime minister on January 23. After Echo Cardiography and other tests, the PIC suggested to constitute a Special Medical Board.
He prayed the court to allow him to produce the medical recommendation of PIC to the bench hearing bail plea in Al-Azizia Steel Mills case.
It may be mentioned here that a IHC divisional bench would hear Nawaz’s bail plea on medical grounds on Wednesday.
