Karachi - Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry reveals conspiracy against Pakistan Army and ISI.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan Army has been targeted through a planned conspiracy.
Reacting over the judgment in Musharraf high treason case on Friday, the federal minister tweeted that the chain of events that unfolded are not restricted to the court and law but it is a matter beyond it.
He remarked, “First a conspiracy was hatched to implicate the army and ISI in Labbaik dharna case. Then the army chief's tenure extension case was made controversial and finally the ex-army chief has been humiliated."
He said if efforts were made to defame the Pakistan Army and create rifts among state institutions, it will lead to anarchy in the country.
He maintained that General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the present army set up have supported the democratic institutions and it should not be considered as a weakness.
On December 19, 2019, the special court announced its detailed verdict against Pervez Musharraf in high treason case.
In its judgment, the court ordered to hang Musharraf's body in D-Chowk if he dies before undergoing the said punishment.
The court also ordered that the facilitators and uniformed officers, who were involved in breaking the Constitution should also be taken to task.
Hours after the verdict, DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor held a press briefing in which he stated the words used in the written order in Musharraf high treason case judgment are beyond basic values of humanity, religion and civilization.
