Dr Tahir ul Qadri announces anti government campaign

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, has announced another campaign to press the PML-N government for his demands.

Earlier this month, Qadri put his supporters on alert for a protest sit-in, demanding the arrest of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah in “light of the findings of Justice Ali Baqar Najafi Report” over Model Town incident.

Qadri has now announced to launch the campaign seeking justice for the victims of Model Town incident, but he linked launch of his movement with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s movement.

“We will announce launching of our movement on the day when Nawaz Sharif will start his movement for justice,” Qadri said while speaking to media persons.

On Tuesday, Sharif announced to start a movement for ‘restoration of justice’ in the country, while criticizing the Supreme Court’s decision in Imran Khan’s disqualification case.
