SC directs Establishment Division over non-payment of benefits to federal secretaries

ISLAMABAD: (APP) The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Establishment Division to submit report regarding non-payment of benefits to federal secretaries in three weeks.
A division bench of the apex court comprising Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and Justice Tariq Masood heard the case.
It is to mention that the court directed to provide payment of benefits and promotions to Dr. Aleem Mahmood, Dr. Abdul Hameed Qureshi and Dr. Akbar Hayat Gandapur in light of a committee report submitted before the court in 2006.
The court was informed that the case was pending before the court since 1980.
The court on the application of Sheikh Aleem Mahmood directed the Establishment Division to submit report in three weeks and adjourned hearing of the case.
