Pakistan Senate follows the foot steps of Indian PM Narendra Modi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Senate has followed in the foot steps of the Indian PM Narendra Modi.

The Senate adopted on Monday a resolution to withdraw the Rs5,000 note from  circulation.

‘The Panama papers Inquiries Bill, 2016’ passed by Senate

According to Express News, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Usman Saifullah tabled the resolution, arguing that the note was being used in illegal transactions and should be withdrawn.

Senate passed resolution against Altaf Hussian asking government to take strict action against him

Opposing the resolution, law minister Zahid Hamid said the move would have repercussions on the economy and the masses in general, as is unfolding in neighbouring India.
