Rupee slides against dollar , Aug 20, 2020

ISLAMABAD- The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee weakened by 11 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs168.37 as compared to the last closing of Rs168.26.
However, according to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs168 and Rs 168.6 respectively.
The State Bank of Pakistan reported that in interbank trading, the price of euro depreciated by Rs 2.03 and closed at Rs198.95 against the last day’s trading of Rs200.98.
The Japanese Yen lsot one paisa to close at Rs1.58, whereas a decrease of Rs 3.03 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs 220.09 as compared to its last closing of Rs 223.12.
The exchange rates of Saudi Riyal and Emirates Dirham also increased by 03 paisas and 04 paisas each to close at Rs 44.89 and Rs 45.84 respectively.
