ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked US President Donald Trump to play his role in solution of Kashmir dispute.
This was stated by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi during a press briefing in Islamabad.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan 's said this when President Donald Trump made a telephonic call in response to his call on 16th of this month.
Foreign Minister informed that US President also made a call to Narendra Modi and expressed desire in lowering tensions between Pakistan and India.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan also apprised Donald Trump about Indian unilateral decision which aimed at changing special status of the internationally recognized disputed territory and its demography.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Imran Khan said this decision of India was a violation of United Nations resolutions and international laws.
He said Prime Minister during a call also demanded to lift the curfew and restrictions in Occupied Kashmir immediately and Human Rights Organizations should be allowed in Kashmir for fact finding.
Prime Minister thanked Donald Trump for his constructive role in resolving the crisis.
